Midwest Tornado Damage – Washington, Illinois

Horrific devastation in the town of Washington, Il. where as many as 500 buildings were damaged or totally destroyed. Approximately 120 people were injured in Washington, where the winds were reported to have reached an estimated 170 to 190 miles per hour. Looking out across the devastation, it is hard to believe that only one person lost their life
Chicago School Closings Protest – 3/27/2013

Today several thousand people gathered to protest the closing of some 54 Chicago schools.The protest began with a rally in Daley Plaza before marching around City Hall. Chicago Police arrested approximately 150 protesters who were participating in a direct action sit-in on LaSalle Street during today’s school closing demonstration.
