Adeyinka Yusuf is an upcoming documentary photographer.
He was born in 1989 in Ikeja Lagos. He took interest in photography in his final year in the university and attended a workshop facilitated by some of the most renowned photographers in Nigeria including Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Ade Plumptre and Isaac Emokpae. After graduating from the university, he began to understudy Bayo Omoboriowo, who tutored him in documentary photography.
Adeyinka has also attended several other workshops facilitated by Uche Okpa Iroha, Victor Ehikhamenor, Akintunde Akinleye, Cristina De Middel, Jide Odukoya, among others.
Adeyinka has been a part of two group exhibitions in Lagos. He is currently working on various documentary projects.
He loves capturing candid moments of everyday life and hopes to create a visual diary of his daily encounters, in order to portray his own view of reality. He describes his approach to photography as anecdotal and poetic.
