Adrian Streun is a press photographer and photojournalist in Visp in Switzerland. He’s mostly assigned as freelancer by news medias, magazines and commercial clients, but most of the time he works on his own projects.
As a photojournalist he’s enamored by his home region, the Valais in southern Switzerland. His projects turn around the inhabitnant people, their traditions and their life. He works on locations around the world from time to time.
From 1999 to 2010 he took over all the editorial positions at The Box Magazine. He was the chief photographer of the local daily newspaper Bieler Tagblatt from 2007 to 2013.
For now, besides working on his own projects, he is a stringer photographer for the international news agency Thomson Reuters Pictures and a contributing photographer of the Vienna based photo agency ASAblanca.
He was first awarded an honor of recognition at the Bernischer Fotopreis in 1996 and in 2014 he reached the 3rd prize at the Swiss Press Photo competition in category News.
