Aditya Kapoor

Aditya Kapoor (b. 1983, Pune, India) graduated from the National Institute of Advertising with a Diploma in Graphic Design. As his understanding of the visual medium evolved, his interests shifted towards image making. His photographic practice, specializing in portraiture, explores the tenuous boundaries between the observed and constructed image.
He has undertaken photography as well as video assignment for various publications, NGOs and corporate clients. His work has been published with New York Times, Al Jazeera, The Independent, Monocle, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Financial Times, Outside Magazine, India Today, Tehelka and Roli Books to name a few. Some of his corporate clients include Pepsi Co., Bodyshop, Cartier, Ferrari, Bacardi, Indian Ministry of Tourism , Indian Ministry of Defence and Common Wealth Games Federation. He has also worked with UN agencies and humanitarian aid organizations like Mercy Corps and CARE.
His work has been exhibited as part of the group show of PIX Quarterly Vol. 8 Recovery at the Japan Foundation, New Delhi. He was also part of the group exhibition India @ 100 by Spire World at the India Habitat Center, New Delhi.
Aditya is based in New Delhi, India and is a stringer for Getty Images (Verbatim Photo Agency Worldwide).
When not on assignment, he has conducted short photography workshops with high schools and undergraduate communication design students. He is also a member of the team for the Delhi Photo Festival and Jaipur Photo.
