I work in fields of photography, film making, Journalism and media training
I believe that art and cultural initiatives can make huge positive shifts to communities as well I believe in the power of photography and how an image can make change.
After my graduation from mass communication faculty, journalism department in 2008 I worked in 3 fields simultaneously journalism, Art, cultural project management and Human Rights.
as I got experience in the field of filmmaking through getting a grant from Egyptian film center to fund my first short documentary film “the smell of the city”: https://vimeo.com/38177266
and participated as a facilitator in the human rights education program at Cairo Institute for human rights since 2010 and worked as well as researcher on "Media and the parliamentary elections in Egypt 2010" research project
from August 2012 till March 2017 I worked as a multimedia officer at Aswat Masriya, Thomson Reuters foundation nonprofit News website responsible for making multimedia content about Egyptian political, social and cultural daily affairs and to moderate and train a team of interns and stringers working with the website.
I won many National, regional and international prizes in the field of photography, filmmaking and essay writing.
Most Important was UNESCO world of tolerance “words of tolerance” photo contest 2016 and United Nations Alliance of civilization conference photo contest 2016 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
