Alanah Torralba is a photographer based in Manila, Philippines.
Torralba graduated from the University of the Philippines in 2007 with a degree in Journalism. She pursued a Diploma Course in Photojournalism from the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism in partnership with the World Press Photo in 2008, while on full scholarship. She also worked for the European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) Manila Bureau from 2007 to 2010. After her stint at the EPA, she started to do various freelance work that spans news, documentary and commercial assignments. Her clients include the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), World Wide Fund (WWF), Greenpeace International and the Philippine Daily Inquirer, of which she is also a correspondent. She has been published in various local and international publications such as the International Herald Tribune, TIME, Washington Post, Jakarta Post, The Guardian, Philippine Star, and others. She was also a participant in the 8th Angkor Photo Festival in Siem Reap, Cambodia on November 2011.
