Alejandra Nava
Madrid, Spain
Born in the Port of Veracruz, today she lives in the city of Madrid, Spain.
She is a graduate of the EFTI International Center of Photography and Film, having studied the Professional Cycle (2017-2018) and the International Master of Photography and Project Management (2018-2019). She is currently studying at BAUHAUS University Degree in Art History and a technical training in Cultural Management at the Miguel de Cervantes European University respectively.
In 2017 she was selected to present her project "EL SEGUNDO GOLPE DE AGUA" in the FIRST REPLICA: TRASLUZ PHOTO "PECHAKUCHA" of CODGO ABIERTO LATINOAMERICA in the city of Veracruz, México. It was also selected to be presented again at the 18th edition of Photoprojects at the EFTI International Center of Photography and Film in the city of Madrid, Spain, in 2018.
She participated in the collective exhibition "Documenta" of the international festival of journalistic and documentary photography MIRAR DISTINTO in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz, in 2018. Also "Someone is traveling furiously towards you" in the city of Madrid, Spain, in 2019.
On March 14, 2020 was inaugurated her first solo exhibition presenting his project "EL SEGUNDO GOLPE DE AGUA" in Puebla City, Mexico.
She is currently working as part of the team organizing the portfolio review at the International Festival of Journalistic and Documentary Photography "MIRAR DISTINTO".
She is interested in addressing issues around identity, public and private territory, violence from different levels and migration. She reflects on family ties and individual and collective memory.
