Alexis is a belgian Photographer / Videographer focusing on the african Great Lakes Region, especially eastern DR Congo where he spends most of his time.
After a ten years career as a consultant and anthropologist working in the field of Peacebuilding in DRC for international NGO's, Alexis put his hands on a camera and, in 2011, co-founded Local Voices, an organization sharing the testimonies of local communities facing armed conflict in the Great Lakes. Photography and Video are now his favorites.
His photographs (and texts) have been published in Le Monde Diplomatique, Internazionale, Mo Magazine, Le Vif / L'Express, among others.
