Alexis Barnes
Port-au-Prince, Haiti
I am a multimedia journalist currently based in Port-au-Prince, working at USAID. Before Haiti, I worked in Zambia freelancing and at the United Nations bureau of Al Jazeera English in NYC. Before the Big Apple, I worked in Washington, D.C., then South Korea and Thailand. I spent my summer reporting in the US Virgin Islands and traveled to Haiti in October to complete on-the-ground reporting to fulfill my Masters Capstone project. I have roots in print journalism, but have evolved into proficiency in video, photo and audio editing and reporting. Available for freelance hire or NGO consulting.
