Born in Paris region in 1981, he lives and works in Paris between two journeys.
After theoretical studies of cinema at the University Pantheon - Sorbonne, Alexandre directs several short films of fiction and experimental works, such as CHIMERA (3 selections in festivals) or AE [EUDANL’ AH] (12 selections & 5 awards).
In 2010, during a solo journey of 8 months in India, he directs his first documentary experimentations, and also several WORLDWIDE JOKES.
After SCARS OF CAMBODIA (9 awards & 20 selections in international festivals), he works today on new documentaries about loneliness in urban cities and the duty of memory, and directs short documentaries (broadcasted on Les Jours & France2), and also audio slideshows and video installations in partnership with photographers.
In a parallel to his personal projects, he directs music videos, and small series, through the technique of self-filming, like ARLALA, a humoristic webserie about the Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles, broadcasted by the magazine OAI13.
His approach has the peculiarity to ally esthetics and techniques from the fiction in a documentary storytelling.
