Alfredo C
Milano, MI, Italia
Born in Melfi, Italy, Alfredo lives and works as a filmmaker and photographer in Brooklyn, New York.
His work combines a documentary approach with verite narrative storytelling, shedding light on personal stories that speak to broader issues of international politics and societal changes, particularly those unfolding at the intersection between youth culture and tradition: from early photography reportages in Russia and Kosovo to Scaramucce, a coming of age short doc about Italian youngsters growing up and apart but still holding onto tradition, or La Calle Pura, a story about a teenager dreaming of being a reggaeton celebrity in post-Castro Cuba, currently in production.
As a photographer he has worked on assignment for most major European and International publications such as The New York Times, Der Spiegel, L'Espresso, Corriere della Sera, La Stampa, Les Inrockuptibles, Marie Claire International, Roads&Kingdoms, and received numerous awards, such as IPA and PX3.
