Alexis Huguet (France, 1988) is a freelance photographer, journalist and videographer based in Yaoundé, Cameroon. His work focuses on social and environmental issues in Central Africa. Through his work with international NGOs he traveled in various countries in Central and West Africa.

East Cameroon region - Some kids and teenagers leave school to try to earn money in the gold mines, forced by a lack of financial ressources. When they have enough to pay the mandatory materials, they go back to school for a few months. And then, go back to the mine. Some of them, even the younger ones, abandon school definitively.
