Aline Lafoy
Hans Lucas
Beirut, Lebanon
Aline Lafoy is a photographer who grew up in the North of France. She is passionate about photojournalism thanks to internships at La Voix du Nord, Agence France Presse Paris, Le Petit Journal Beyrouth and L'Orient-Le-Jour in Lebanon.
Her favourite subjects, which she likes to develop in long formats, are related to current events. She is interested in taboo subjects, notably through a series on funeral professions or on a pornographic actress. The theme of social injustices is important to her: she made a report about Syrian migrant workers in a Lebanese recycling centre.
She is graduated of the DU de Carcassonne in Documentary Photography and Digital Writing, where she co-directed the web documentary "Terres d'espérance". She also holds a degree in Art History with a major in Journalism from the ESJ Lille Academy.
