Amy Stroth
Kansas City, MO, United States
Hey! I'm Amy.
I'm a freelance photographer and journalist currently located in the heart of the midwest, Kansas City, Mo. I love creating and curating meaningful, storytelling work about the people right here in my community, and those near and far I have yet to meet.
I'm a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, where I attained a Bachelor of Journalism with an emphasis in Photojournalism. While working toward my journalism degree, I also earned a minor in Business and a Multicultural Studies certificate (gotta be well-rounded in this job market, right?).
Originally from Dallas, Texas; I had no plans to move away from the Lone Star State following high school (or ever, honestly). However, my passion for photography and storytelling led me to the Missouri School of Journalism in the spring of 2010 and I haven't been able to leave the Midwest since.
While at Mizzou, I had the pleasure of working for publications such as Dallas Advocate Magazine, Inside Columbia Magazine, The Columbia Missourian, and Sports Illustrated. Since graduation, I've been published in outlets such as the Kansas City Star, Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.
In case you couldn't tell by the photograph of me above, I stinkin' love what I do. I would love to share some of that moxie with you or your publication, so please feel free to contact me with questions or comments about my work, or if you would like to hire me for an assignment. I'm available for both shooting and editing jobs wherever you may need me.
