Andrea DiCenzo (b. 1985) is an American photographer currently based in Athens, Greece. After graduating with a Masters in Fine Arts from the London College of Communication, DiCenzo has focused on documenting humanitarian crises and armed conflict throughout the Middle East. She was based in Erbil, northern Iraq from 2015-2017 covering the ongoing war with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
Her editorial clients include: The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, Buzzfeed News, WIRED, GQ, Marie Claire, Le Figaro Magazine, M Magazine for Le Monde, , msnbc, The Telegraph Magazine, USA Today, Al Jazeera English, and others.
DiCenzo was a stringer for European Press Agency (EPA) in 2016 in Iraqi-Kurdistan and then Deutsche Presse-Agentur in 2017 during the battle for Mosul.
She is a member of Women Photograph, a group aimed at elevating women’s voices in visual journalism.
She is HEFAT and RISC certified.
