Born Sydney, 1981. Began career as a staff photographer at Fairfax Media in Sydney in 2005. Invited to join Australia's pre-eminent photographic collective, Oculi in 2007 and Won a World Press Photo Award and a Walkley Young Australian Photojournalist of The Year Award in 2008. Resigned from Fairfax in 2010, commencing a freelance career in Sydney before moving to New York City in 2012. Since travelling to the Middle East and Afghanistan in 2013 I've been based in Kabul and covering those that live on the fringes of conflict in Afghanistan, the Middle East and beyond while maintaining links and projects in Australia. Undertaking commissions for The New York Times, The Washington Post, TIME Magazine, Harpers, Mother Jones, Foreign Policy and others. Recently named Walkley Australian Photojournalist of The Year, and one photograph, the Walkley Australian Photograph of the Year, 2014.
