Andrew Simcox is the Program Director of Photography at Harcum College.
He continues to have a successful career in photojournalism. Assignments and affiliations include: Senior Photojournalist, Photo Educator and Aerial Specialist for Wolf Studios; Columbia Scholastic Press Association, Channel 6 WPVI, JKCP, Stewart Film and Video and Simcox Photography. His clients have included the New York Daily News, the Archdioceses of Philadelphia, BASF, Home Fields, Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia Water Works, Philadelphia Historical Commission, Shutterstock as well as various universities including Vanderbilt, Villanova, Penn State, Syracuse and Cornell.
He has served as a beta-tester/ambassador for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Imagenomic, Noiseware, Real Grain and Portraiture, Livebooks.edu. Vimeo-Education.al Partnership, Western Digital, Athentech, Perfectly Clear, Plickers, Quizlet, and Think Tank.
He has done community service projects for Angel Flight, Cole Hamels Foundation, MS Society, Lansdowne Theater, Lansdowne Police Department, Springfield Police Department, Haverford Police Department, Delaware County K-9, Freedom Playground, Morris Arboretum, Eastern State Penitentiary, Face Off for Autism, Eagles Fly for Leukemia, Fort Mifflin, Special Olympics, Almost Home Animal Shelter, and Victim Services of Montgomery County. He was the Pennsylvania Association of Private School Administrators 2004 Instructor of the Year.
He has been an active member of ASMP, NPPA, ALEA, EPIC, PIEA, PSOP, and SPE
When he is not in the classroom he likes to work with youth hockey players.
He is a Certified USA Hockey Coach who has worked together with USA Hockey as the Coordinator for “Try Hockey for Free” National Outreach to first time hockey players.
You will often see him on the ice with new cameras testing out the newest features ready to share reviews and samples. Some of these images have recently been published in USA Hockey Magazine.
