Angelina Delgado Librero
Seville, Sevilla, Spain
Born in the mining town of Riotinto (province of Huelva) in Spain, Angelina Delgado Librero studied at the Universidad de Sevilla, where she received Bachelor’s degrees in Education (1988) and in Pedagogy (1995), and a Master’s degree in Psychology (2014).
Angelina has been involved in education in one way or another during most of her professional career, both in the public and in the private sectors. For 17 years she worked as a librarian in the Public Library of Camas (Seville) and since 2012 she has been a member of the Camas Department of Education.
In 2006? she established and directed Abrepalabra SC, a company that designed, coordinated, and implemented educational, cultural and artistic programs to promote literacy at K-12 levels. One of its most exciting projects was “El Parque de los Cuentos” (The Park of Stories), designed in conjunction with other education professionals, which won the public bidding to develop the museographic contents to be lodged in the Convento de la Trinidad in Málaga.
Angelina has also been a professor and pedagogic adviser at the Education School of the Fundación San Pablo Andalucía CEU (Bormujos, Seville), where she has taught Creativity, Dramatization, School Libraries, and Instruction for Reading Habit Development.
She combines all these professional activities with frequent appearances as an oral storyteller in schools, libraries, and other educational and cultural venues.
As an artist, Angelina favors both poetry and plastic expression (through collage and photography), as a bridge to connect shared universal meanings that nurture human sensitivity and that are often difficult to explain.
