Anita graduated from the National Film and Television Institute with a BFA in Film and Television Production in 2010. She set up Roaming Akuba films in 2011 to cater to the needs of documentary production in Accra Ghana. Her thesis film, Skin Canvas has screened and been nominated in a number of Film Festivals including the Next Reel Film Festival in Singapore and the International Student Film and Video Festival in China. in 2012, with funding from the Goethe Institut she produced Perished Diamonds, a film that documented the events of the collapse of the Ghana Film Industry and the controversial sale of the Ghana Film Industry. Her most recent work, African Maestro documents the life and works of Prof. Kwabena Nketia, Africa's foremost ethnomusicologist. She has spoken at a number of events including the African Women in Film Conference, the CFI Archives and Memory and at the University of Michigan where she presented her work on the theme African Artists Visualizing Africa.
