Ankit Agrawal

Ankit Agrawal is a Delhi based writer, editor and photographer with interest in development, human rights, people’s movement, arts and culture, literature and politics. He is also involved in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa.
He has a BA (Hons.) in Political Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Conflict Management and Development from the Banaras Hindu University in Banaras, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Asian College of Journalism, Madras. He is currently pursuing MA in Sociology from IGNOU.
He also learns Dhrupad under Ustad Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar, a 20th generation singer of illustrious Dagar family and a direct descendant of Baba Haridas Dagar, Tansen's teacher. His works have appeared in prestigious publications like The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Mint, The Wall Street Journal, Nandan and Tehelka.
He has also worked with the World Bank as Short Term Consultant where he was involved in supporting the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation in generation and production of various print and online products that will help in achieving higher level of planned visibility around the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) program.
He was invited to participate in the Seventh Assembly of World Youth Movement for Democracy at Lima, Peru in October 2012.
