“I use photography as a means to spark imagination and curiosity. I am enchanted by the effect of light variations on colors, lines, shapes, textures, and structures. My goal in framing the image before the ‘click’ is to capture photographs that conjure thoughts of earthly myths and legends, or evoke otherworldly experiences at viewing what could be intergalactic geological stories, or simply to express the sense of awe, wonder, and privilege I feel at being able to be present in that place at that moment. My intent is to create photographic art that invites a pause, a closer look, an emotional response to the details of this astonishing planet everyone calls Home. I process my own work to complete my artistic vision, and I employ archival quality pigment-based prints to dramatize fine details, enhancing depth and tonality in my finished work.” – Anne Schlueter
