Born in Italy in 1979. After graduating with a master’s degree in photojournalism in Rome in 2010, he started to work as photojournalist and documentary photographer.
His photographs has been published in national and international publications, including Stern, Le Monde, Die Zeit, The Guardian, Days Japan, Internazionale.
Recently he has worked in Democratic Republic of Congo, Israel and Palestinian Territories, Syria, Central African Republic, Iraq, Burma.
Annibale Greco has been represented by Corbis Images from July 2012 to March 2016.

The Kurdish battle against the so called IS

A member of the Partiya Karkerên Kurdistanê (PKK) fires a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) against the militants group that calls itself Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), town of Sinjar, Iraq, 14 April 2015. Sinjar was the scene in August 2014 of the massacre by the militants group that calls itself Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). ISIS militants group attacked and occupied Sinjar. Members of the Partiya Karkerên Kurdistanê (PKK) and the forces of the Peshmerga Kurdish Regional Government in Iraq with the Anti-Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) coalition, after the offensive launched in December 2014 resume part of the area lost. Until April 2015 PKK and Peshmerga got back the 30% of the town of Sinjar, while the remaining 70% was still occupied by militants of ISIS. Sinjar was fully liberated in November 2015.
