Hello, I’m Arianna Pagani, 1988. I’m an independent photographer.
During my studies I approached documentary photography making it an independent profession. Since 2014 I have worked in Bosnia, Turkey, Tunisia, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Italy, producing photographic and video reportages for various national and international media. I collaborate for several years with an Italian NGO that has projects in the Middle East.
My interest has grown and developed with social issues, conflict and climate change. In recent years my work has focused mainly in the Middle East where I documented the liberation of the city of Mosul in Iraq, of Raqqa in Syria and where I followed several stories about civil society, climate change and post-conflict. In 2018, together with journalist Sara Manisera, I created a multimedia webdoc that traces the stories of four Iraqi women fifteen years after the American invasion.
