Ariel is a photojournalist and photo editor for NPR. A Los Angeles native, she graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in journalism. She attended the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2008 and earned a nomination for World Press Photo’s Joop Swart Masterclass in 2009.
Her clients include the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Vice, Sacramento Magazine, Huck, WIRED Magazine, HamburgerEyes, Bloomberg Businessweek, the Nobel Foundation, NatureBridge, The Stockton Record, Etiqueta Negra, M le magazine du Monde, and The FADER. She was formerly a photo editor for WIRED.
