Abby Seiff is a journalist who has been based in Southeast Asia since 2009. Her news, features and analysis have appeared in a range of mainstream and academic publications including the Associated Press, Al Jazeera, TIME, the Economist, the New York Times, the Lancet, Center for Strategic & International Studies, Centre Tricontinental, and more.
Prior to becoming a freelancer, she served as an editor for several years at The Cambodia Daily and the Phnom Penh Post, where her coverage of a Global Fund probe won honorable mention for investigative reporting at the 2013 SOPA awards.
Her work focuses on human rights, politics, and the law. Most recently, she has published on the conflict in Thailand's Deep South, Nepal's fuel crisis, and the abuse of Chinese human rights lawyers.
