My images are essentially about celebrating the beauty, grace, resilience and spirit of people through powerful and emotive storytelling. Drawing on personal influences, including my background in law and development brings an insightful perspective to my work. I have a keen interest in sustainable development and socio-cultural issues and strive to create images with impact and purpose, which educate, intrigue and inspire.
I have considerable experience working for clients including: International Institute for Sustainable Development Reporting Services (IISD/RS), Anthony Nolan Trust (UK), Safaricom, and Africa Insight Communications. My images have been published and exhibited in London and Nairobi. As well as being a photographer and video producer, I am a published sustainable development writer with extensive experience in: international environmental law and policy; poverty and the environment; governance; agriculture and food security.
Having lived and travelled around the world, increasingly, I find that what resonates are those things that unite, rather than divide us. We all essentially speak the same language, our aspirations, dreams and desires are universal: freedom and peace; a roof over our heads; food on the table; and a brighter and more secure future for our children, and generations to come.
