I am an aspiring self-taught documentary and social photographer based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Currently, I am capturing the street life of Winnipeg and open to accept any short term or long term projects in Canada and Bangladesh.
I am an international student pursuing bachelors of commerce at the University of Manitoba. Despite my background of studies, I have grown intense understanding of the human condition and pure passion for photography which led me to choose a different career path of becoming a social/documentary photographer.
Message me if you have any questions, I am available 24/7 and open to any conversation!

The life on street

Winnipeg The city Winnipeg, infamously known as the murder capital of Canada and gang related problems. However, besides the gang related problems, homelessness is a big issue in the city with its vast population of aboriginal people.
In brief, if we want to look at the core problem; it started with colonialism that wiped off the future of an entire generation of aboriginal community. Aboriginal kids were taken forcefully to the residential school where they were tortured and prohibited to practice their language or culture.
With its last residential school closure in 1996, the city have a huge population of aboriginal people who are unemployed, homeless and living below the poverty line without a social insurance or proper medical care. This is when they join the gangs to support themselves and find an identity.
