Asmita Parelkar

Born in 1983 in Mumbai, India, Asmita Parelkar graduated with a BFA, Applied Arts from Sir JJ School of Arts, Mumbai in 2006. After working as a graphic designer in Mumbai till 2010, she went to New York to attend the Documentary Photography & Photojournalism program at the International Center of Photography and graduated in 2011.
Through her work she is trying to explore the relationship between humans and animals and is also interested in stories related to environmental issues.
Currently in Mumbai, India.
