Maria Antonieta Rios, 85, laughs as she sings along to a song from her childhood by Adoriniran Barbosa on Jan. 1, 2016 in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, Brazil. Luiz Rios, her son, played the guitar and sang with her. Antonieta was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2014. Her memory fades from day to day, but she always remembers every word of favorite song lyrics. She spends most days exchanging few words with the family that pass through her home, but when music starts to play she lights up.
