Benson Ibeabuchi is a self taught documentary photographer living in Lagos, Nigeria, his works focuses on societal issues and how it affects our everyday life and society at large.
As a member of the African Photo Journalism Database (APJD), Benson's interest in photography is to be a keen observer of humanity by capturing and retelling stories from perspectives that are often overlooked. He is a certified Canon master storyteller, and a Native and was one of 14 photographers selected to participate in a three-day creative lab organised by Native Photography Agency in collaboration with African Artists’ Foundation, The IWMF and Blink and is a mentee at the Fotofactory Lagos under Photographer Eva Maria Ocherbauer.
Benson has been commissioned by various reputable organisations such as The Nigerian Pavilion for the 57th Venice Biennale Art Festival, LagosPhoto Festival, DIA Fund, Diaspora rise up, YIAGA Africa, AYADA Lab among others and has been exhibited at the first Canon Alumni Exhibition as well as at the Alliance Francaise Lagos for their 2018 World Music Day Exhibition.
