Benjamin Hiller

Benjamin Hiller is a photographer and journalist living in Berlin, Germany.
After studying ethnology (i.e. social anthropology with majors in ritual and dynamics, as well as visual anthropology) for several semesters at the Heidelberg university he moved to Nuremberg to absolve a professional trade school for photography.
Since 2008 he works as a freelance photographer, writer (and part-time videographer) with the main focus on conflict zones like Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria etc. A further specialization is into the Kurdish conflict.
His work got published in national and international newspapers and magazines like Weekendavisen (Denmark), Neue Züricher Zeitung (Switzerland), L.A. Times (USA), Washington Post (USA), FAZ (Germany) etc.
