I'm a print and photo freelance journalist and an American Studies PhD student at Boston University. In 2014, I was the Steiger Fellow at the Committee to Protect Journalists in New York City. I worked in the journalist assistance department, investigating cases of foreign journalists in need. I worked on about 35 cases. Before that I wrote for GlobalPost for about three years, writing breaking news and, the occasionally, longer articles. Before that I was in school, interning and reporting on local stories.
