I'm a British freelance photojournalist focusing on the consequences of social, political, and military actions, and their ramifications, in the wider Middle East, and Balkans, with a key focus on how identities shape lives.
Work has been published in The Guardian, Stern, The New York Times, Libération, The New Republic, CNN, Amnesty International, UNHCR, The Times and Sunday Times, The Financial Times, Politico, AFP, The Independent, and others.
My long-term personal work has focused on identity issues, such as the on-going Kütmaan series about LGBT asylum seekers from the Middle East. Other work documents the plight of irregular migrants as they enter the European Union, and cultural stories in and around Turkey.
Alongside photojournalism, I've has also worked extensively with the Indian film industry, working as a set photographer and videographer for numerous successful Bollywood productions around the world.
Occasionally, I writes features and articles on specific topics. I have a full (clean) driving licence, Turkish and British national press cards and IFJ global press card.
Available for breaking news and long term assignments, willing to travel at short notice.
