Brant Slomovic is a Canadian photographer based in Toronto. His study of photography
began at an early age but was ultimately put on hold to pursue a medical degree. After
a lengthy hiatus, he returned to making photographs. His long-form documentary
projects employ landscapes and portraits, exploring a personal relationship to narratives
of cultural identity. His approach turns the lens on details of subtext, yielding images
characterized as quiet and contemplative. Brant’s work has appeared in a variety of
publications, including: Incandescent, the FlakPhoto Collection, and The One’s We
Love Project. “Glengarry” has been exhibited as a solo show at the Toronto Image
