Bridget is an editorial and portrait photographer from a small town outside of Syracuse, New York (Pennellville, if you’ve heard of it). She graduated from the School of Visual Arts honors program in 2013 with a BFA in Photography. She currently splits her time between Syracuse and Brooklyn, New York, and is available for assignment anywhere.
She began taking photographs in elementary school when she received her dad's old 35mm camera; she taught herself photography through her late father's scribbled notes and old kodak manuals. Obsessed with nostalgia from an early age, her work often deals with the concept of home and where people find it. She is searching for connection, exploring themes of grief, identity, and what it means to feel seen. Captivated by the intimacy that the camera lends her, Bridget allows her subjects to be vulnerable and honest.
She is particularly interested in understanding her own grief & how people process theirs. She facilitates multiple grief groups and a monthly Dead Parent Club through zoom, as well as a weekly clubhouse talk by the same name.
She has been featured in American Photography, POND Photo Review, and sold work in the Daniel Cooney Fine Art emerging artists auction. Her photographs have been featured in the New York Times, New York Magazine, Instyle, Vogue India, Bust Magazine, The Cut, Esquire, New Yorker, and WWD. She has assisted Joseph Sinnott, staff photographer at WNET; Heather Sten, celebrity portrait photographer; and Kelly Guenther, Pulitzer Prize winning documentary photographer.
