Brindusa Fidanza
Geneva, Switzerland
I picked up photography guided by the internationally acclaimed photographers Peter Turnley and Ernesto Bazan and supported by many photographer friends. I grew up surrounded by photographs; my mother was a dark room amateur and an avid photography fan who worked in the film industry for many years. Today I travel extensively and enjoy photographing street, portraits and people's life events. In addition to these wonderful subjects, in 2013 two incredible trips - one to Langa, a township outside Cape Town, South Africa, and the other to Trapani, Sicily - led me to begin my current ongoing photographic work in these historic locations.
Outside photography, I lead The Ground_Up Project - a global environmental enterprise focused on small-scale entrepreneurs I founded in 2013 and I work on The Art Corner, a non-profit I founded whose aim is to connect activist art with international relations milieus.
