Brooke Saias (she/her) is a documentary producer and filmmaker. Currently, she produces video stories on national education issues with a focus on race and equity for Education Week. She also pursues her own personal independent film and visual work. A lover of powerful storytelling in all forms, she believes it can be an entry-point into the overlooked and allows for a deeper understanding of history, and ourselves.Brooke is a member of The Video Consortium and worked with a team to build their first mentorship program sponsored by SONY for emerging nonfiction filmmakers. She has a graduate certificate from The Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Visual Storytelling and received a B.A. in Gender & Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She's based in Boston and the greater New England region.
