Bruno Fonseca

Bruno Fonseca is a Portuguese Photojournalist born in 1972. He took his course in the Portuguese Institute of Photography (IPF) between 2005 and 2007, following his great passion and started to work as a freelancer.
Living in Angola since 1995, as he returns after the diploma, he starts to collaborate with the Portuguese News Agency in Angola (LUSA), covering events as the Presidential Elections in 2008, first since the national conflicts started in 1992, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI visit to Angola or the African Championship Football (CAN).
His work has being published regularly in the major Portuguese newspapers and magazines, and in several international media associated to international events.
Passionate traveller, his pictures capture the new, the surprise and respond to the senses: Look for the first time, Feel for the first time, love for the first time.
Sports, art and music are his other passion subjects, where the challenge of capturing the energy and emotions of each event and artist are his drivers.
In Sports he is enthusiastic for football, and he can be found in most of the major championships around Europe and Africa. For the last years he covered events as CAN2008 and 2010, the World CUP 2010 and 2014, UEFA EURO 2008, Champions League 2009, 2011 and 2014.
