Calogero Russo is a professional independent documentary and portrait photographer, born in Palermo, Sicily. A political science graduate, he has mainly worked on a long-term project on Eastern Europe, with a particular interest in slavic speaking countries, focusing on the relationships between former USSR and its satellites states in Europe. In 2014 he self-published the fanzine "Ostalgie". In 2019 he published Russian Ark . He based currently in Milan.
