Camilla Pongiglione
Paris, France
Camilla Pongiglione was born by happenstance in Canada and grew up in Genoa, Italy. Since 2007, she has lived in Paris and worked as an architecture and landscape photographer while also collaborating part-time as architect. Wandering between architecture and photography, she has developed personal photographic projects that are linked to the city and memory, landscape and man’s impression on the world. Since 2013, she has been working on the FOR HEART’S SAKE project, an association between drawings, the reinterpretation of cardiac anatomies, and photographs that depict the heart in a metaphorical way. This project was exhibited in March 2015 as part of a collective exhibition “Perceptions singulières” at the Sit Down Gallery in Paris. It was also previewed in January at the “Circulation(s)” Art Festival which was held at the Centre 104 in Paris. In 2014, it was selected for «Prix Vois Off» in Arles.
