Naples, Metropolitan City of Naples, Italy
Carlo Rainone (b. 1989 in Naples, Italy) is a documentary photographer.
He works on long term stories that explore the sense of identity and cultural belonging.
Upon completion of his studies in Computer Information Systems at Arizona State University he moves to Istanbul.
There he follows from up-close the uprising of the Gezi Park protests and their unfolding, an event that will bring him closer to a more documentarist approach.
In 2015 he moves back to Naples and in the same year attends the photojournalism master class at Fondazione Studio Marangoni (Florence, Italy) taught by Terraproject photographers Simone Donati and Michele Borzoni.
