Carter Gunn

Carter Gunn has been directing narrative and documentary work for over a decade. His most accomplished work to date was the 2009 feature length documentary ‘Colony’, which he co-directed, produced, and edited. ‘Colony’ premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and won the Best First Appearance award at IDFA 2009 and the Best Feature Documentary award at the Anaheim Film Festival. In addition to ‘Colony’, Carter has worked extensively in both production and post-production on a wide range of television shows and documentaries, most notably HBO’s ‘I am Animal: The Story of Ingrid Newkirk’, the Academy Award nominated ‘No End in Sight’ and the short documentary ‘Quest for Honor’, which premiered at Sundance in 2008. Carter has recently worked on commercial projects for clients such Google, Ebay, and Cisco as well as a documentary short for New York Times’ Op-Docs. He is currently finishing a feature documentary about the world of specialty coffee.
