Cassio Vasconcellos (São Paulo, SP, Brazil, 1965) - Photographer since 1981. He´s work has been exhibited more than 190 times in 20 different countries, plus he is part of the select group of "The World Atlas of Street Photography”, a book published by Thames & Hudson, England and Yale University Press, U.S.A., 2014, which brings the series "Nocturnes São Paulo".
He starts his career working in personal projects and making exhibitions. Lately, the artist presents "Collectives", Today Art Museum (TAM), Pequim, China (2013); "Itinerant Languages of Photography", Princeton University Art Museum, Princeton, New Jersey, United States (2013); and "The Vertigo Praise: Itaú Photography Collection", Maison Européenne de La Photographie, Paris, França (2012).
Cassio Vasconcellos has published 5 books including AEROPORTO (Madelena, 2015), Aéreas do Brasil (B.E.I., 2014), Panorâmicas (DBA, 2012), Aéreas (Terra Virgem, 2010) and Noturnos São Paulo (2002). He won many awards as Conrado Wessel of Art (2011) and Paulista Association of Art Critics (APCA - 2002), for best photography exhibition of the year with exhibition Noturnos São Paulo. His pictures are in the main important collections of Brazil, as MASP - (São Paulo, Brasil), and outside the country, at Bibliothèque Nationale (Paris, France) and Museum of Fine Arts (Houston, United States).
