A Documentary and Street photographer, born and raised in Mombasa, Kenya and presently based in Accra, Ghana.
I love to document everything around me that sparks my interest – everyday life, nature, people and local cultures. I am especially, drawn towards documentary work underlining social issues faced by women and children in their environment and cultural settings, in addition to Street photography illustrating the day to day life of African people and their unique lifestyles, environments and cultures.
My goal is that my images become an empowering and dignifying tool that are used to promote significant social causes that contribute to the positive growth of African communities.

Inner Strength
Catherine Awitta
Endearing smile and laughter: awake by dawn, family land tilled by noon, thereafter helping to build a local community church. All in a day's work and still managing a smile.
Grace
Catherine Awitta
She had just finished tilling the family farm, and was on her way home to prepare the family a meal. Although, she was conscious with the way she looked, she allowed me to photograph her.
