Christina Belasco

Christina is a documentary photojournalist currently based in Pittsburgh, PA where she is a photo intern with the Beaver County Times. Prior to this she held a photo editing internship with Sherman's Travel in New York City, and a multimedia internship with Oregon Public Broadcasting in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism (emphasis on visual storytelling), and a focus on International Studies. She is originally from the bay area in California.
Christina's work has been published in Powder Magazine, OPB, NPR, the Beaver County Times, Flux Magazine, Ethos Magazine and the Daily Emerald.
Her awards include 1st place from the Society of Professional Journalists for online in-depth reporting for the
collaborative work "Route of the Whale". Her short film, "Losing Albina" won several awards from the UO Film Society
and UO National Broadcasting Society.
Her breakfast of choice is either oatmeal or a bagel with black coffee. She thinks New York bagels are the absolute best.
