Chip Dillard
Troy, AL, USA
I'm a Troy, Ala.-based freelance photographer specializing in action sports and portraits.
My passion and enjoyment for sports (especially my Troy Trojans) is the reason I started shooting sports.
I have been fortunate though my years as a student at Troy University and throughout my professional career to network with some great people in the athletics industry. Those relationships have allowed me several opportunities to shoot sports on a national level.
In October 2012, I was hired as one of the official photographers for the Raycom Media All-Star Game, which was a collegiate all-star game to showcase seniors to the NFL. The game was held in Montgomery, Alabama in January of 2013.
The All-Star game got such great reviews that Montgomery was chosen as the site for the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl the following year. The inaugural game was held in December of 2014 and I was chosen to be the official photographer.
In addition I have had the opportunity to do some freelance work with the Montgomery Advertiser and the Troy Messenger.
I have had photos published on Al.com, ESPN.com, The Montgomery Advertiser, The Troy Messenger as well as on several university athletic sites.
I'm available for sports-related assignments and editorial work as well as for general portraiture.
