Chiara Goia is a documentary and fine art photographer and her work has appeared on numerous publications such as The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, TIME, The Wall Street Journal, GEO, among many others.
Born and raised in Italy, after classical studies Chiara graduated in Communication and Political Science in Milan. In 2007 she attended the one-year certificate program in documentary photography at the International Center of Photography in New York.
In 2008 she was selected for Reflexions Masterclass: a long-term seminar held by Giorgia Fiorio and Gabriel Bauret, experience that has been giving her the opportunity to develop several bodies of work.
Amongst her recognitions are the Sony World Photography Award in Arts and Entertainment, the Canon prize for emerging photographers and she was named as one of the PDN's 30.
Since late 2008 she has been based between Italy and India where she has been working extensively on editorial and corporate assignments as well as personal projects.
