Christopher is an award-winning multimedia journalist based in Rome, Italy. His recent work focuses on Pope Francis, immigration, and the threat ISIS poses to the West. He has reported from Mexico to Milan for PBS FRONTLINE, NPR, the BBC/PRI, and VICE News, among other outlets, and has appeared on the CBC, FOX News and Italian state broadcaster Rai.
He holds a master’s degree (highest honors) from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism in New York City.
For three years Christopher was a staff reporter for the English and foreign desks at ANSA, the leading Italian news agency, where he was part of the team that broke the story of Benedict XVI’s shocking abdication.
He is currently directing a documentary on Americans volunteering with Kurdish guerrillas to fight ISIS.
