Born in Canada to Irish parents, I grew up in Africa and around Europe. Dividing my time between working as a filmmaker and photographer I am now based in London.
I've won several awards including the Sony World Photo of the Year, the Wanderlust Portfolio of the Year and a Miramax Scriptwriting Award, My photos have been published in the international press (including a six page spread in Stern) and exhibited in the Royal Geographical Society in London and United Nations Office at Geneva.
I work regularly on commercial campaigns and also as an achitectural and portrait photographer. Other clients include NGOs and charities and I've photographed across the world in such diverse places as Chechnya, Ethiopia and the Himalayas. I also lead photographic workshops in Iceland and India.
I've also work internationally as a TV commercials and brand film director with such agencies as Leo Burnett, Y&R, BBDO, Saatchi and Saatchi and O&M among others. As well as making several award winning short films, I've written and directed over 50 journalistic films for the Telegraph Newspaper and Wall Street Journal's online Business Clubs.
I've worked as a photographer and director in many locations around the world including Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Istanbul, Dubai, Moscow, Kiev, Prague, Warsaw, Bucharest, Durban, Cape Town, Rome, Paris, London, Dublin and USA. His photography has taken him to Tibet, the Caucasus, the Himalaya and Andes, India, Kurdistan, Iran, Ethiopia, the Middle East, the West Bank and Peru.
I'm always seeking new adventures and treat every assignment with energy and curiosity whilst doing my best to walk the line between adding commercial value and creativity.
