Christian Minelli

Christian Minelli was born in Formia in 1978. After graduating in Communication at the University 'La Sapienza' in Rome in 2005, he specialized in Journalism and worked as an editor and publicist. In 2009, he thoroughly studied photography earning a Master in Photojournalism at the Institute of Photography and Integrated Communication (ISFCI) of Rome. In collaboration with Amnesty International he made his first photographic project on the former Roma camp Casilino 900, in Rome. With this work he was among the selected photographers admitted to participate at the UNICEF Photo of the Year contest. For a long time he lived in Jerusalem and in Cairo, working as a freelance photographer. He has published in national newspapers (Corriere della Sera, Repubblica, Panorama, L’Espresso, Internazionale) and international, such as Le Figaro, The Telegraph, Wall Street Journal, Die Zeit, Time. From 2011 to 2013 was staff photographer for Emblema photoagency. He is currently based in Rome.
